Smart, very smart

This is really just ME letting YOU know that I am now a member of the 21st Century! It's true. I have a smart phone.  However, I am still conflicted about this so maybe don't bring it up if you see me.  Those of you who know me well, pick your jaws up off the ground and read on!  The rest of you-this is a big fricken Deal so you better read this one too!

I once was 39 again

They say age is just a number.  They say 40 is the new 20 and orange is the new black.  Well I say to hell with all that. Who are they anyways?  I say you are only as old as you act and feel and I for one refuse to act like a real grown up and I feel like a million bucks, not a 40-year old mother of three. I refuse to act old, or wear the color orange.  I say you only live once so make the most of it!  I am basically a teenager in a 39 year old's body trying to squeeze every ounce of joy out of this thing called life.

Marathon Training 4.2

Last fall Mird texted me inquiring about Detroit Marathon and if I'd ever be interested in running it...Doesn't she know that Marathon talk is best done in person, preferably with a beer in hand?!  Anyhow, I forgave her and immediately called her because it seemed super serious. I mean if she was actually contemplating running 26.2, a phone call was definitely warranted, necessary even...
